Today you will drive inland (approximately 2 hours) to the historic city of Matanzas. For over two centuries, in recognition of its rich cultural life, Matanzas has been known as "Cuba's Athens." For obvious reasons, it is also called "the city of bridges." The area surrounding the city has some singularly beautiful features. The Pan de Matanzas (Matanzas Bread Loaf) Hill and the Yumurí Valley are particularly entrancing.
First stop at the Bacunayagua lookout point. Panoramic view of the Yumuri valley. After we will visit to the Monserrate Chapel, panoramic view of the city of Matanzas. And after walking tour in Matanzas´ historic center, we drive to one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean.
